Iwas born in South Africa on the 9th of October 1986 and lived in Johannesburg until the age of 35.
Throughout my childhood, I loved to read and spent much of my spare time doing so. My favourite genres were epic and dark fantasy. I have always enjoyed writing and excelled in English at school particularly creative writing. I was awarded numerous creative writing awards for short stories and essays.
I conceived of the story for my first novel, sitting on an oak swing bench on a game farm in the Waterberg in Mpumalanga province. It was right in the heart of the South African bushveld and I was gazing out, in the early afternoon, over the lush landscape, listening to thunder rumbling in the distance. During the summer months afternoon thunderstorms were a frequent occurrence.
We visited game parks regularly while I was growing up and I find my mind finds focus and clarity there that is difficult to replicate anywhere else.
For entertainment I enjoy reading and gaming, gravitating toward games with great narratives and characters.
I attended the University of Johannesburg in South Africa from 2005 and studied finance. I am a director and shareholder of a business that provides IT platforms and solutions to customers.
I married my wife, Michelle, in 2015 and moved to the United Kingdom in 2022 where I now live with my wife and son, Cayde.
I self-published my first novel, Last of the Necromancers in 2026.
